Dump Style Scraper

Cut, Carry, and Dump
The DS 50, Dump Style Scraper is perfect for light earthmoving jobs on the acreage, small farm or in poultry barns. It features a direct mount system with enclosed hydraulics for simple cut, carry and dump operation. With heavy-duty industrial tires and weighing nearly 5,000 pounds, the DS 50 turns a 70 horsepower to 225 horsepower MFWD tractor into an earthmoving force.
DUMP VS FORCED EJECTION SCRAPERS
The primary difference between a dump scraper (often called a “carry-all”) and a forced ejection scraper (or “ejector”) is the mechanism used to unload material from the bowl.
Core Differences
- Unloading Mechanism:
- Dump Scrapers use hydraulic cylinders to pivot or tip the entire bowl, relying on gravity to dump the contents.
- Forced Ejection Scrapers use a hydraulic “push-off wall” (ejector plate) that moves from the back of the bowl to the front, physically pushing the material out.
- Material Compatibility:
- Dump Scrapers are best suited for loose, dry materials like sand or light soil that fall out easily.
- Forced Ejection Scrapers are designed for wet, sticky, or heavy soils (like clay) that would otherwise cling to the bowl in a gravity-dump system.
- Spreading and Control:
- Dump Scrapers are typically faster at unloading but offer less control over the thickness of the spread.
- Forced Ejection Scrapers provide a smooth, controlled spread at a consistent depth because the material is pushed out at a steady rate as the machine moves forward.
